A quick site whipped up for a friend over the course of a weekend, this site never got a chance to go through rounds of revisions, approvals and the like. Looking at it the other day, its old color scheme of yellows seemed very, well, aged and unattractive. Bringing this to Scott’s attention, he suggested shades of red. Spending an hour changing the color pallette made an enormous difference. Take a look for yourself. Not bad for a site with roughly 8 hours development time in it…

After putting together some new desktop patterns over the weekend (notice the more button in the center of the downloads layout now?), a press release was sent to the people over at IconFactory.com. They then noted patrickbennett.us on their Monday update. Seemed cool at the time, sure, but not such a big deal or anything… until the activity log was checked Tuesday morning. That link on Icon Factory’s site pushed 4,294 hits here from 393 visitors! They then managed to send another 350 over on Tuesday. Nice to see a demand.
